Herculane Baths is located in the Cerna Valley. Right over the river basin begins the Domogled National Park-Valea Cernei protected area, which is defined by various landscapes and vast areas of beech forests, but also oak and hornbeam \u2022\u2022\u2022 limestone cliffs with Banat Black Pine, canyons with high flow and fluctuating streams, limestone peaks with sub-Mediterranean vegetation, large beech forests, alpine hollows with juniper, mountain reservoirs, limestone gorges and precipices, isolated hamlets in the mountains, subalpine meadows with lapis lazuli, thermal caves unique in Romania, thermal springs endemism and rare flora and fauna.<\/p>\n
